Baton Rouge is the home to over 220,000 residents and the stomping grounds to two major colleges in the region; Louisiana State University (LSU) and Southern University ( home of the Human Jukebox). Baton Rouge is known for its amazing cuisines that have been shared across the globe such as crawfish, fried catfish, boudin and jambalaya to name a few. Baton Rouge is also known for its friendly hospitality and its southern landscape. We welcome you to join us and enjoy a great southern experience.

Meet The Visionary

Mrs. Irene Coates, is a native of Louisiana and a Licensed professional stylist and salon owner with well over 25 years of service. She has an extensive resume that validates her expertise as a beauty industry leader. Irene has had the honor of instructing in the classrooms of international forums such as Bronner Brothers, Mentorship Academy, Chew's Multicultural Hair Expo, Texas International, The Tour Hair Expo, and the list goes on. She was also the lead stylist for Victoria Secret Store, platform artist for Umuji Vision Haircare and a local curator for fashion, beauty and empowerment forums. Most notably, Irene is the founder of Free2Be Professional Haircare and her non-profit organization "Vizion 4 Change". Irene welcomes and thank you for joining our Short Hair Summit family.
